Spring 2019 Community Market

We’re delighted to announce our Spring Community Market  at Wolves Lane Centre.

Join us for an afternoon of celebration with food, music, family activities and market stalls organised by a collection of community organisations!

What to expect? – food – music – plants, seeds and veggies for sale – palm house tours – raffle – family activities – market stalls with crafts, vintage clothes and many more!

Garden Day 2019

Sunday 12th May 2019, 10.00 – 16.00

Down tools and join us at Wolves Lane as we celebrate Garden Day with a host of green fingered and family friendly activities throughout the day including:

  • Growing and arts and crafts activities for babies and children,
  • Site tours led by growers,
  • Pay what you can community lunch,
  • Scrub Up Wolves Lane – a community gardening session,
  • Dr Bike cycle maintenance workshop
  • Plants and produce on sale
  • and lots more!

Entry is free.

On street parking is available nearby but no parking is possible on site.

Wolves Lane is recruiting!

  2. Do you want to help make good food accessible to all and build a healthier, more sustainable food culture?
  3. Do you have collaborative organisational skills to make activities happen working with diverse communities?

We are recruiting a Volunteer & Site Coordinator. We are looking for someone to support the volunteers currently involved in refurbishing, developing and running the site, and to help take the Centre to its next phase of operation. As well as developing a comprehensive volunteer programme, you will also need to play a facilities management role on site, identifying works needed and organising appropriate volunteers or contractors. We are looking for someone with the drive to hold wide-ranging responsibilities initially and work with the Consortium members to get a full team of colleagues in place as the scale of activity develops

The role is 21 hours per week, salary: £27,300 pro rata.
